The most ubiquitous shoe this season must have been the lace up sandal. It’s no wonder: they are full of sex appeal and add enough pizzazz to elevate any outfit—from your casual boyfriend-jeans-and-a-white-t-shirt look to that little black dress you’ve been meaning to update—to easily become a focal point and emblem of your style.
Transitioning to fall, I love the idea of the lace-up pump. Aquazzura does it again with the brand’s Belgravia—a lovely pointy-toed shoe with a lattice that ties around the ankle. While purveying a more conservative image than their sultry summer cousins, these lace-up ankle pumps nevertheless retain enough panache to give any outfit some style. I especially love that you can easily wear these to the office without feeling inappropriate and that their modest heel will keep you comfortable throughout the day.
